Silvaco A/S ("we", "us") operates the website https://silvaco.eu. We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Danish data protection law.

2. What personal data we collect

We collect personal data only when you voluntarily submit it through our contact form or our newsletter sign-up. Through the contact form we collect:

  • Name (required)
  • Email address (required)
  • Company name (required)
  • Phone number (optional)
  • Message (required)
  • Product interest (optional)

Your enquiry is stored in our own enquiry database, which runs at our hosting provider Cloudflare (see section 4), so that we can handle it and see how it was answered. Stored alongside it are details about how you reached us: the page you arrived on, the referring website, the campaign tags in the link you followed (for example the campaign name and search keyword), your answer to the optional question about how you found us and, if you came from an advertisement, the click identifier the advertising platform adds to the link. We use these details only to understand which channels lead to enquiries. They are never sent back to an advertising platform and never used to build a profile of you.

If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address and, optionally, your name.

3. Purpose and legal basis

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Responding to your enquiry — to process and reply to messages submitted through our contact form. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in communicating with potential customers).
  • Understanding where enquiries come from — to see which channels lead to enquiries and to look up publicly available information about the company you write from (see sections 2 and 4). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in knowing which of our marketing activities work and which company an enquiry comes from). You can object to this processing at any time (see section 7).

Sending our newsletter — to send you our email newsletter if you have signed up. We use double opt-in: you receive a confirmation email and are only added to the list once you confirm. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). You can withdraw your consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter.

We do not track individual newsletter recipients and do not use opens or clicks to profile you. Our email platform records opens and clicks only as anonymised, aggregate totals (e.g. how many recipients opened a given edition); the one thing it keeps per contact is the date of your most recent opening, used solely to keep the list free of inactive addresses (deliverability).

4. Recipients and processors

Your data may be shared with the following service providers who process data on our behalf:

  • Brevo — email delivery service (Brevo SAS, France) used to send your contact form submission to our team and to deliver our newsletter. Our subscriber list is stored within the EU (see Brevo's list of sub-processors for the limited cases in which support or auxiliary services are provided from outside the EEA under Standard Contractual Clauses). Brevo does not profile individual recipients on our behalf: open and click statistics exist only in anonymised, aggregate form (see section 3).
  • Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery. Cloudflare may process technical data (IP address, request headers) to deliver the website securely.
  • Plausible Analytics — privacy-focused web analytics hosted in the EU. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track individual visitors. We use it to understand aggregate traffic patterns (e.g. which pages are visited most).

When an enquiry appears to come from Denmark (for example because of a Danish phone number or a .dk email address) and we do not find the company in our own records, we look up the company name at cvrapi.dk, an independent service that searches the Danish Central Business Register (CVR). We send the company name only — never your name, email address, phone number or message — and store the publicly available details it returns (CVR number, industry, number of employees and town) with your enquiry.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Cookies and tracking

This website does not set analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any cookie used for user tracking. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary technical cookie (__cf_bm) for security purposes (bot protection). This cookie does not track your browsing behaviour and is exempt from consent requirements under the ePrivacy Directive.

We use Plausible Analytics for aggregate traffic statistics. Plausible is cookieless and does not collect or store personal data.

6. Data retention

The copy of your enquiry in our enquiry database is deleted no later than 12 months after the enquiry has been closed, and in all cases no later than 24 months after we received it. The email our contact form sends to our mailbox is kept for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and any resulting business relationship, and is then deleted. Where a business relationship follows, the documents that bookkeeping law requires us to keep are retained for as long as the law prescribes — that obligation applies to the invoice and the order, not to the enquiry itself.

Newsletter sign-up data is retained until you unsubscribe. You can additionally request deletion of your data at any time (see section 7).

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access — request a copy of the data we hold about you (Art. 15)
  • Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data (Art. 16)
  • Right to erasure — request deletion of your data (Art. 17)
  • Right to restriction — request that we limit our processing of your data (Art. 18)
  • Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (Art. 20)
  • Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21)

8. Supervisory authority

If you believe that our processing of your personal data violates the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).
